The Mystery of the Gray Hallway

Hello, Pinterest user.

The gray hallway a mysterious beast, is it not?

A reminder of the pin is below.

It’s an amazing color, isn’t it? Unique.

The question on everyone’s lips though – what color is it?

Is it light gray or silver?

You can see the ever-so-faint lilac tones that make themselves known under varying intensities of the hallway light.

It works well paired against the mid-tone wood flooring too.

If you’re wondering, it’s probably Ash.

It has a huge amount of natural character to it without needing much staining or excessive maintenance.

It’s a hard wood, standing up to a lot of wear and tear in areas of your home with lots of people walking about.

Our paint research has brought some contenders into the arena.

Repose Gray

This is an extremely similar gray to the one in image above.

You can take a look here or judge for yourself below.

What do you think?

Colors that coordinate with Repose Gray are Pavestone, Coral Clay, and Eider White.

Eider White could very easily have been added to the trim around the mirror, photograph frames and skirting boards.

Vote for Repose Gray (this is our favorite) at the bottom of the page, we want to hear your thoughts.

Match of Pantone™ PMS 9083 U

We’re going cross-eyed trying to work this out.

Has to be a twin of the paint in the hallway image, birthed from the same metal tin one brush stroke apart from each other.

See if you think we’re right on this one.

If this Pantome is your vote then let us know in the comments at the bottom of this page.

Samovar Silver SW6233

This is a match for the darker regions of the image.

You can view it here or view below, you agree with us at Rooms Solutions?

A very nice color and one that would work well in a brightly lit living room or bedroom.

Complimentary colors that go well with Samovar Silver are Pure White, Sea Serpent, and Rock Candy.

Love the sound of Sea Serpent in the bedroom.

A very dark-gray blue, very interesting color.

If Samovar Silver is your vote then add it to the comments below with your reason
