Home Tour: Here’s How To Mix Furniture Colors

What excuses do you have?

Whatever they are, they’re out the window now.

Keeping your home looking drab and boring is no longer viable.

Elisha’s home, the one you’re about to see, is proof of that.

It’s one of the most colorful homes we’ve come across, and the patterns and wallpaper are used beautifully.

The whole house sparks joy, it’s Eclectic design at its finest.

Rooms Solutions got a chance to speak with Elisha to understand what it is about interior design that she enjoys so much.

When did you first get interested in interior design and when did you decide to share your love and knowledge for it?

I have always been interested in interior design from a very young age, I was always obsessed with changing my bedroom as a teenager.

I would go into a restaurant and be more interested in their decor rather than their food.

I decided to share my interior when I moved house 3 years ago.

It was a hard and upsetting time and documenting this process made it so much easier for me.

Do you feel like colors are important to influence people’s moods?

Yes colour definitely influences people’s mood. Green tends to be a calming colour as it’s associated with nature so this is always my go to colour.

But I love to enter a colourful room it just lifts your mood and makes you smile.

Where do you get your inspiration from?

I get most of my inspiration from Instagram, Pinterest and home magazines.

What’s your favorite room in your house?

The fave room in my house is probably my bedroom. I recently added a pink velvet bed that I absolutely love and it’s just cozy and warm looking in there.

What advice do you have for people who are still searching for their unique style?

I would advise people to try not to follow trends too much.

If you don’t love something, don’t buy it just because it looks good in someone else’s home.

Also, you don’t have to stick to one style, you might like a boohoo shelf but then love a retro rug.

  • There’s no rule to say you can’t mix the two together!
  • Everyone’s style is individual, so, be true to yourself and do what you love!
  • Your home is your sanctuary, so, make it yours!

We hope you agree, this incredible home needs to be celebrated.

The world needs more ambition in home design and Elisha has it by the truck load.

Her advice is to go out there and buy what you like, you don’t need to follow any trends, and we agree!
