The Return Policies of your Favorite Furniture Stores

Wayfair

You can return most items for a refund or store credit within 30 days of delivery. Return shipping costs apply, and the item must be in its original condition and packaging to be accepted.

There are a few items that can’t be returned:

  • Clearance items
  • Gift cards
  • Personalized items
  • Bundled items at discounted rates, e.g. “5 for $25” (unless the entire bundle is returned)
  • Items marked “Non-Returnable” on the sale page
  • Items you have already assembled

Lulu and Georgia

We do not refund original shipping charges. If your item was purchased during a shipping promotion, a 10% return shipping charge will be deducted from the original price of your item.

All items must be sent back in the original packaging. If original packaging is unavailable, the customer is responsible for arranging equivalent packaging. If your item is marked as FINAL SALE or MADE TO ORDER, it is not eligible for return.

Walmart

Most items purchased at Walmart.com may be returned either to a store or by mail, unless stated otherwise in the list of exceptions below by department. Items must be returned in the original manufacturer’s packaging. We strongly recommend you keep your packaging for at least the first 90 days after purchase.

Items purchased from dealers or resellers and not Walmart.com directly are not eligible for return, refund or exchange.

For items sold by a Marketplace Seller please refer to the seller’s return policy.

Urban Outfitters

Furniture shipped within the continental US returned within 30 days of delivery will receive a refund of the purchase price on the original form of payment. Furniture returned after 30 days and up to one year will be refunded via a merchandise credit valid for use in any of our US locations or on UrbanOutfitters.com.

We guarantee the quality of our furniture (free of manufacture defect) for up to one year from purchase. If you experience any defects, you may return your furniture purchase for a full refund within one year from your purchase date.

Unfortunately, we cannot refund shipping charges and taxes will be credited in accordance with state laws. Furniture returns must be protected during transit so that they arrive back to us in like-new condition. Shipping fees are the responsibility of the customer. Urban Outfitters is not responsible for lost returns.

Furniture items may not be returned in stores.Made-to-order customizable furniture cannot be exchanged or returned.

World Market

If you’re not satisfied with your purchase, most items may be returned by mail or at any of our World Market store locations in original condition within 60 days of purchase. Returns will be refunded in the same form of tender as the original transaction. If you wish to return by mail outside of the 60-day policy for any reason, please contact World Market Customer Care at 1-877-967-5362, or, click here for our email help form.

Online Orders Returned To Store

For your convenience, you may return most items ordered online to any World Market store for a refund or exchange (see below for returns exceptions). Returns must be accompanied by the packing slip/shipping receipt and in original condition. Returns will be refunded in the same form of tender as the original transaction.

  • If returned to a store without the packing slip, store credit will be issued at the lowest selling price within the past 90 days for merchandise returned in its original condition, with the exception of the department listed within the exceptions list.
  • Returns to a World Market store location after 60 days of purchase will be issued store credit.
  • A Gift return to a store can be issued to the original purchaser or you may choose to be issued store credit.

Etsy

If you’re unsatisfied with an order, you may be able to return or exchange your order depending on the shop’s policies. To request a return, return label, or exchange, contact the shop:

  1. Sign in to Etsy.com or open the Etsy app.
  2. Click You.
  3. Click Purchases and reviews.
  4. Click Contact The Shop next to the order you’re interested in. On the Etsy app, tap the order you’re interested in, then tap Contact The Shop under your order.
  5. Let the seller know that you’d like to return or exchange an item.

Sellers aren’t required to accept a return or exchange unless stated in their shop policies. If the seller is willing to accept this return, be sure to settle on these details through Etsy Conversations before returning the item:

  • Where you should send it
  • The time frame in which they wish to receive it
  • Who will be responsible for the cost of return shipping, if not written in the shop’s policies

Bed, Bath and Beyond

So simple: For up to 180 days after purchase, just provide your receipt and for most products, we will refund the purchase price to the original form of payment or issue a Merchandise Credit.

Free Return Shipping

We offer free return shipping on most online orders including those coming from a Military Post Office, APO, FPO and US Territories.

Home Depot

Most new, unopened merchandise sold by The Home Depot can be returned within 90 days of purchase, unless noted in our Return Policy Exceptions. If your purchase was made with The Home Depot Consumer Credit Card, The Home Depot Commercial Revolving Charge, or The Home Depot Commercial Account, you have 365 days from date of purchase to receive a full refund, unless noted in our Return Policy Exceptions.

Returns for purchases with valid proof of purchase will be exchanged, refunded in cash, credited to your account or refunded via The Home Depot store credit (“Store Credit”) as determined by The Home Depot. Refunds will be issued to the original form of payment (credit card, PayPal, etc.), unless noted in our Return Policy Exceptions. Returns for purchases made with a gift card or a Store Credit will be refunded as a Store Credit.

THE MAIN THING YOU NEED TO KNOW: At Apt2B, we offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee at the time of delivery; if you are dissatisfied with an item at the time of delivery, you may refuse it and the delivery team will take it back for an exchange or refund with no restocking fee! After that point, you still have a full 100 days from the date of delivery to return it!

West Elm

Eligible items can be returned for a refund of the merchandise value within 30 days of receiving an order or 7 days for Quick Ship upholstery items. An original receipt or gift receipt is required.

How to Return:

  • Return by UPS – print a return label from our Returns Policy page and bring to a UPS location.
  • For non-custom furniture and other oversized items, call Customer Service at 1.888.922.4119.
  • Return to Stores – you can return most non-furniture items to your local west elm location (west elm outlet stores excluded).

Items Not Eligible for Returns:

  • Monogrammed/Personalized items
  • Made to Order items, including custom rugs and furniture
  • Mattresses
  • Gift Cards
  • Final sale items (with prices ending in $.X7 or $.X9)
  • Items damaged through normal wear and tear

Target

Target’s Return Policy

Most unopened items sold by Target in new condition and returned within 90 days will receive a refund or exchange. Some items sold by Target have a modified return policy noted on the receipt, packing slip, Target policy board (refund exceptions), Target.com or in the item department. Items that are opened or damaged or do not have a receipt may be denied a refund or exchange.

Target +™ Partner’s Return Policy

Most unopened items sold by a Target + Partner in new condition and returned within 90 days will receive a refund. All items sold by Partners must be returned to Target, either in store or by mail. Some items sold by a Target + Partner have a modified return policy noted on the receipt or on Target.com. Items that are opened or damaged may be denied a refund.

CB2

If you are not satisfied with your Stock furniture, rug or rug pad purchase upon receipt, you must contact us within 7 days of your delivery or pickup to arrange a return. The item must be returned within 30 days of delivery or pickup.

All items will be inspected upon return. A restocking fee will apply, starting at 25% of the purchase price, for any items not returned in good condition or outside the stated time frame.

For mattresses, Tomorrow Sleep offers a 365-day return and Brentwood Home offers a 120-day return. Simmons mattress returns follow our standard furniture delivery and must be returned within 30 days of delivery or pickup.

Proof of purchase is required to issue an appropriate exchange, credit or refund, as well as any taxes due to be refunded in accordance with applicable state law. See “Proof of Purchase for Eligible Items” above. Refunds will be issued in the Original Form of Tender (cash refunds are limited to $100 in store with any balance refunded as a check by mail).

  • Unlimited Furniture Delivery items in saleable condition may be returned or exchanged within 30 days of the delivery date.
  • Unlimited Furniture Delivery items must be shipped back via our delivery service and cannot be returned to a store.

Crate and Barrel

Stock Furniture, Rugs and Rug Pads

Payment is required in full for in-stock items. For out-of-stock items, we require a 50% deposit to reserve incoming stock and full payment of the balance prior to scheduling delivery (or pickup of eligible items). You may cancel your Stock order at any time prior to delivery or pickup for a full refund.

If you are not satisfied with your Stock furniture, rug or rug pad purchase upon receipt, you must contact us within 7 days of your delivery or pickup to arrange a return. The item must be returned within 30 days of delivery or pickup.

  • Delivery Fees – Delivery fees are non-refundable and prior purchases are not eligible for price adjustments.
  • Cash & Check Refunds – Cash and check refunds over $100 will be issued as a company check and mailed to you (may take 14 business days).
  • Over $10,000 – If your return for Merchandise Credit Cards is greater than $10,000, we will issue you $10,000 in Merchandise Credit Cards to you that day, then mail additional Merchandise Credit Card(s) for the remaining amount owed to you.
